A nose job, or rhinoplasty, is one of the most common cosmetic procedures in the industry. After the surgery, our patients will begin the rhinoplasty recovery process, which allows the surgery site to heal properly and optimizes the procedure’s results.
During rhinoplasty recovery, it’s important to take some time off from work and avoid any strenuous activities.
While the incision lines from the procedure heal, you will be advised to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun for a prolonged period of time. This is especially true for an open rhinoplasty. If there are situations where sun exposure will be a factor, make sure to keep the bandage in place for protection. Consult with board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Ordon beforehand about when and where sunscreen is appropriate while healing.
