In 2014, the eyelid lift procedure, also known as the blepharoplasty, was one of the top five cosmetic surgical procedures chosen by patients. With roughly 207,000 eyelid lift surgeries performed that year, only three other cosmetic surgical procedures were done with more frequency. In fact, women made up 86 percent of the eyelid lift procedures performed in 2014. However, among men, blepharoplasty is the second most common surgical procedure performed.

The most common age group to undergo this procedure is 55 years and older. They make up 48 percent of all eyelid lifts, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
