What to Expect

The treatment takes about half an hour.

• An IPL treatment is usually performed without anesthetic. If you have sensitive skin, you may request topical numbing cream.
• A cooling gel that works as a conductor for the laser will be applied before your treatment.
• During your visit, you may experience some discomfort that is similar to the flick of a rubber band against your skin.
• Once the treatment is over, a cooling serum is applied to soothe your skin.
• There is not any recovery time except that you may have some redness for up to 24 hours after your treatment. Be aware that some sun and age spots may darken and crust a few days afterwards. You should be able to return to your daily routine within a day.
• Post-treatment guidelines will be provided to you, including that you should avoid any sun exposure to the treated area until you are completely healed. If sun exposure cannot be avoided, use and reapply sunscreen with a SPF of 50 or higher.

Results
